Official Advice: Don’t Argue…
1. Don’t get into an arguement with your mother in law. It does nothing beneficial and can create larger issues. However, do not be a pushover and allow her to walk all over you but do not go out your way to make a ’situation’.
2. Consider the possibility that she might actually be attempting to connect with you and it is simply not going in the correct way. This happens when people lack the social and communication skills necessary to present what they want in a way that others will understand. This is why it is important to get to know her; you may find she is really trying to get to know you.
