Are these evil mother-in-laws always going to be this way? I was told that if you do not hit it off with your mother-in-law from the start then there is a horribly slim chance that there will ever be a good relationship between the two of you. My question is how can you hit it off with someone that clearly didn’t want to give you a chance? Any advice.

Your MIL is a selfish self centred nightmare by the sounds of things so just stay away from her at all costs. That’s what i did with my ex MIL, it’s the only safe route.
