My Mother In law is no different then any of the Mother In-laws you have. Manipulative and great at guilting her children to high extremes. (Smirk and all) She provokes problems and enjoys it. I have told my husband that if he cannot take charge and deal with his own mother then i will not feel obligated to continue interaction. Period! Doesn’t bother me. But his mother makes fun of him calling him my puppet, you can tell that the stress is taking a toll on him. Now i feel bad that I am hurting him because of this. My husband doesn’t seem to care “if the problems his momma causes” hurts me and our children. When he is willing to stick his foot up her butt then I will be willing to compromise. If not then I am not willing to subject myself or my children to the abusive environment.

My wife’s mother is an interfering ,selfish, fat old bully. She rings my wife and all hell breaks loose. She abuses her on the phone and makes so many demands leaving my wife in tears, this is her very own mother. My MIL blames me; she also tried hitting me once! My wife isn’t strong enough to stand up to her cause she’s frightened of her. My MIL said I am nothing. I just want smack her flat on her arse….But I can’t !!! What to do?????
